This is a new free camping special, stay tuned for more details. As of this writing, this free camping spot has not been listed anywhere online, so I am going to call it the Gila Canal BLM 14 Day Free Camping Area located seven miles outside of Yuma, Arizona. To get there, follow US 95 north from Yuma. After doing some research on Google Earth, I discovered this free RV area that offers a variety of campsites. There are 'state property' signs along the way, but keep going until you reach the entrance to the free camping area. There are campsites along the canal with a beautiful view. Be sure to follow local rules regarding waste disposal. Enjoy this peaceful campground just seven miles from Yuma.

Music is a staple for many campers looking to relax and recharge in the great outdoors. And what better way to enjoy music than at a new free campsite? If you’re looking for a special place to camp, stay tuned for more details.
On the day I recorded this video, this free camping spot wasn’t listed on Compendium, iOverlander, or FreeCampsites.net. So I think I should give it a name. Let’s call it the Gila Canal BLM Free Camping Area, located just seven miles from Yuma, Arizona. You’ll want to know how to get there, so I’ll show you some dash cam footage.
Here you are looking at US Route 95 heading north out of Yuma. I'm going to show you on Google Earth the exact location of this intersection. There are a couple of reasons why I wanted to show you this quickly on Google Earth. First of all, this is how I discovered this free camping spot, by doing a satellite reconnaissance. Secondly, when I went to Google Earth, I noticed that this spot appeared to be a wilderness camping area. This is a route on US Route 95. When I show you the dash cam footage, we'll start from about this location, as soon as you get off US-95, this is the first left turn you'll take. When you get to the top of the hill, you'll see a fence, just follow the fence into the free camping area.
Since this free camping area is not listed anywhere online that I could find, I named it the Gila Canal BLM Free Camping Area, valid for 14 days. Without further ado, I will now move on to the dash cam footage and then give you a walking tour. After you get on the access road, you will simply follow the road until your first left turn. You will see a few RVs in the free camping area. There are also some camping spots along the canal. As you walk down the canal road, you will see some great campsites along the canal. (API)
Campers have access to facilities to dispose of their RV wastewater, and the canal water is crystal clear. There are plenty of campsites available, some with complete privacy thanks to the surrounding vegetation. The location offers beautiful and peaceful views for an outdoor getaway. For more information on download and upload speeds for carriers Verizon, AT&T, and T-Mobile, check out the video's written description on YouTube. (API)
