Video summary

In this video, Dave and Carrie share their six favorite wild camping spots after traveling full-time in their camper van for a year and a half.

The six locations mentioned in the video are:

1. Alabama Hills: An incredible place that looks like a western movie set, with big rocks, mountains and plenty of outdoor activities. It is important to note that it can be hot in summer and there are no services such as toilets or trash cans.

2. Locus Trail: A location close to Bryce Canyon and Zion national parks, with great hiking trails and campsites. There is a seasonal creek to get clean water.

3. Gila National Forest: A forest in New Mexico with three free campsites, restrooms and trash cans. There are also cliffs, rock formations and cave dwellings to explore.

4. Sedona: A great place for hiking with 400 miles of trails, mountain biking, rock climbing and pink jeep tours. You have to pay to park in the trail parking lots.

5. Indian Creek: A very secluded spot with sandstone rock formations, perfect for recharging your batteries. There are plenty of outdoor activities and great views.

6. Ash Creek: Their favorite place, located near a crystal clear river with trout. It is a calm and peaceful place where they feel recharged. There are no amenities, no cell reception and precautions must be taken in winter due to snow.

For each place, they describe the environment, the activities available and what you need to know before going there, such as the absence of basic services, the need to bring your own water and respect for the environment . They also share tips for making the most of each location.
