What is a Long Term Visitors Area?

LTVA stands for Location of Long-Term Visitor Areas. In winter, thousands of snowbirds and caravanners flock there.

Due to their past popularity with snowbirds for Arizona and to protect the local desert ecosystem from overexploitation, LTVA offers areas designated as long-term RV visitor areas.

The long-term LTVA permit (180 $ US) allows the continuous use of LTVA from September 15 to April 15 (7 months) or for any duration between these two dates.
