Dear friends and travelers,
After 42 days of adventure and 6500 km traveled, our journey across Newfoundland is coming to an end, a little earlier than expected due to a problem with a wheel (wheel bearing). We had an incredible experience, but it is time for us to go home.
Here are some important points and tips for those planning to visit this beautiful island:
🚗 Long drives between attractions : Expect to travel 2-3.5 hours between each tourist site. Newfoundland is vast and each trip is an adventure in itself.
🌊 Lakes and caribou : In addition to the sea, central Newfoundland is dotted with lakes where it is not uncommon to come across herds of caribou on the road. A natural spectacle not to be missed!
🛤️ Road conditions : Aside from the Trans-Canada Highway, roads are often in poor condition. Expect dirt roads with potholes, cracks and rainwater rills. Caution is advised, especially when driving to overnight campsites.
🏕️ Quiet tourism : Tourism here is quiet. We rarely came across more than twenty campers at a time, and often we were almost alone on the roads. A tranquility that allows you to really enjoy nature.
🗺️ What we missed : There are so many other places to discover that we didn't get to visit this time. But it's only a postponement for our next trip to Newfoundland!
📸 Pictures : We know you love photos, so here is a selection of photos not yet published. Stay subscribed to the page because we still have several trips to do in the west of the country and also in the United States.
We return with unforgettable memories and the desire to go on another adventure. Newfoundland is an incredible destination for those seeking the raw beauty of nature and tranquility away from the crowds.
Thank you all for following us on this adventure! See you soon for new escapades.
