Description
In the polar bear denning area south of Hudson Bay, Wapusk is one of the most difficult parks to access in the country: no road leads there, and any visit must be made with an authorized tour operator, by canoe, plane, or helicopter. Two basic camping enclosures exist along the Broad and Owl rivers, bookable only through Parks Canada. Even Churchill, the gateway to the park, is accessible only by train or plane, with no road connecting it to the rest of Canada.
