Description
Private property of the Chapin family, Ovens Natural Park spans 180 acres along the Atlantic coast, near Lunenburg, on the scenic Lighthouse Route. The land offers 25 forest sites and 50 seaside sites for tents, as well as 65 sites with or without services for RVs up to 30 feet. Visitors have access to free hot showers, flush toilets, and the marine caves trail, including Cannon Cave. The site was the scene of a gold rush in 1861, and gold panning is still possible on Cunard Beach. Respect nature and the locations, and leave nothing behind.
