Description
Great provincial park on the west coast of Newfoundland, about 20 km from Stephenville — one of the largest provincial parks in the west of the island. The campground has 150 unserviced sites for tents, trailers, and RVs (generators allowed during the day), each with a picnic table and fire pit. A comfort station offers showers, restrooms, and a laundry facility, water taps are scattered throughout the park, and a dump station is available for RVs. The park also features two sandy beaches, hiking trails (including Mount Erin), and water activities on Barachois Pond, in an area rich in wildlife (moose, caribou).
