Description
The park is home to Denali, the highest peak in North America (20,310 ft), visible from the park road on clear days, and exceptional wildlife (grizzlies, moose, caribou, wolves) roaming freely in the tundra. Beyond mile 15, the road is accessible only by shuttle bus to preserve this wild balance. Camping is possible near the entrance (Riley Creek, Savage River, Teklanika River) and further in by taking the shuttle.
