The Gunsite Wash boondocking area managed by the Bureau of Land Management (BLM) is convenient for both Why, Arizona, and the Organ Pipe Cactus National Monument. The noise from the road and the lack of natural beauty generally detract from its appeal. Small to medium-sized RVs have many more parking options. There are about six good spots, fairly flat, for a large RV with easy access. All these sites are located either to the left or right immediately after passing through the barrier for the BLM.
