Description
Free camping managed by the Bureau of Land Management, located at Walker Pass, at the junction of two sections of the Pacific Crest Trail. The site features a semi-arid landscape with pinyon pines and a view of the foothills of the Southern Sierra. There are picnic tables, fire rings, and horse corrals, but no drinking water is available. The Walker Pass Campground, also known as Walker Pass Trailhead Campground, is a primitive campground at an elevation of 1,600 meters, serving as a stop for hikers on the Pacific Crest Trail. Be sure to respect nature and leave the place clean when you leave.
