Description

Primitive camping at high altitude, on the edge of the Golden Trout Wilderness area, in the Portuguese Pass section of the Sequoia National Forest. About ten first-come, first-served sites, serving as a starting point for hiking and mountain biking trails. There are pit toilets and fire rings on site, but no potable water; RVs are limited to about 16 feet.
