The Swift Puma campground (also known as Swift Puma Heights) is the largest campground located within Cheyenne Mountain State Park in Colorado Springs, Colorado. Nestled on the mountainside, it offers a balance between immersion in nature and urban proximity, with views of the valley and city lights.
Site features:
- RV sites (21 sites): Spacious areas with asphalt or concrete entry, including full hookups (water, 20/30/50 amp electricity, and sewer). Each site has a picnic table, a fire ring, and a flat concrete area of 12x12 feet for a tent. RVs up to 50 feet can be accommodated.
- Walk-In tent sites (6 sites): Designed for tents only, these sites require a short walk (about 75 meters) from the parking area, providing greater privacy among the trees. They feature a bear locker for food, a picnic table, and a fire ring.
On-site amenities:
The camper services pavilion is located at the center of the Swift Puma loop. It offers flush toilets and sinks open year-round, hot showers, and a paid laundry (tokens/cash) open from mid-April to mid-November, as well as a children's playground nearby.
