Description

Free primitive camping site managed by the Maine Bureau of Parks and Lands, located at the mouth of Third Machias Lake, in the Machias River corridor. Accessible via approximately 15.7 miles of gravel forest road from Grand Lake Stream, passable by most vehicles, but not recommended for large trailers. Waterfront location, no services (only a pit toilet, no drinking water). Please respect nature and leave no trace.
