How Google Plus Codes work
The Plus Codes work only with Google Maps and in a similar way to street addresses, providing an easy way to obtain and use numeric addresses. They are also useful for defining specific locations within a traditional address. For example, you can use Plus Codes to identify different entrances to a building.
These codes are useful for receiving deliveries, accessing emergency services, directing users to a specific location, or simply for easily sharing location references with others.
Plus Codes are based on latitude and longitude coordinates, using a simple grid system consisting of 20 alphanumeric characters. This list of characters deliberately excludes those that are likely to be confused, such as "1" or "l". For example, a Plus Code might look like this: JJXX+HR8, Seattle.
