Last fall, I finally decided to embark on a project that had been close to my heart for a long time: going on an adventure in Northern Quebec. As a Canadian, I already live in a Nordic country, but did you know that 90 % of the Canadian population lives within 160 km of the United States border? This is why I was so keen to explore these isolated regions. Contrary to what I thought, the landscapes of Northern Quebec are not inert, but among the most beautiful in the world. My name is Pascal Marquis and I have the pleasure of presenting to you my latest adventure in Nord-du-Québec.

To get to Northern Quebec, you can take the plane, but the flights are very expensive. So, I decided to take the road through different regions of Quebec, such as the Laurentians, Outaouais, Abitibi, and Aiguebelle National Park. These regions offer magnificent landscapes, but it was in the North that I really felt the tranquility and solitude. I then took the James Bay road, an isolated 620 km road between Matagami and Radisson. Despite its length, it is one of the most beautiful roads I have ever driven on.

I took advantage of this route to observe the landscapes, climb mountains and watch the sunset and sunrise. Arriving in Radisson, the northernmost village accessible by road, I discovered a sparsely populated French-speaking community, but essential for the region's economy. I also visited the Robert Bourassa hydroelectric power station, an impressive underground construction. I even had the chance to see the Northern Lights.

Finally, I finished my journey by going to the west of the province, at the foot of Hudson Bay. It was a magical and unforgettable moment. In the coming weeks, I will share my adventure in Nord-du-Québec in more detail on my blog. In the meantime, enjoy these images and don't forget to subscribe to my channel. Nord-du-Québec is truly a delight for the eyes. Take care of yourself and see you soon!
