We have spent the last six weeks harvesting potatoes and the last few days we have been on the move. Rutles has been a bit grumpy but today we are at this campsite and he is happy. It is our usual routine and he is happy. We are happy, he has a bounce in his step, a smile on his face, isn't there, my friend wagging his tail?

Exploring Kansas

Today we are in Kansas at McPherson State Fishing Campground right next to McPherson Lake. This is our first wilderness camping since our harvest work in Minnesota and we are feeling great. It is quiet and close to nature, the leaves are starting to change colors and we are excited to be here. Stay until the end of the video when we share details about free camping in Kansas, you might be surprised, we were.

Nature exploration

We venture onto a nearby trail, discovering the local flora and fauna. Despite the drought, we appreciate the beauty of the surrounding nature.

Wild discoveries

We observe bison and elk nearby in a wildlife reserve. Unfortunately, our stay is short but we enjoy every moment in this natural setting.
