Free Wild Camping Along Baker Lake Road
We present to you a YouTube video published and produced by: LivingOurDreamNow
Summary of video transcription from: LivingOurDreamNow
[Music] West of Baker Lake, I found a free dispersed campsite at 100% in the Baker-Saquami National Forest, perched on a bluff with a beautiful view of the lake. You can find several campfire rings and ample space for multiple vehicles. This campsite is not directly on the road, but is a safe distance from any vehicles. As you descend to the bottom, you can find a boat ramp and a recreation site. Our neighbors at Thousand Trails Grandy Creek Campground are out, showing off the generous space available at this free dispersed campsite. GPS coordinates will be available in the video description. No cell service at this location. Don't forget to like and subscribe if you enjoyed. See you on the road! [Music]
Free Wild Camping along Baker Lake Road
On the west shore of Baker Lake, I found a free dispersed campsite at 100% in the Baker Saquami National Forest, perched on a cliff with a view of this beautiful lake behind me. Let me show you around.
This is one of several campfire sites right next to the campsite. You can set up a decent sized motorhome here and you're well off the road. This is not one of those pull-offs right along the road. You're a safe distance away from any vehicles. You have enough parking for multiple vehicles in this one campsite. This is a view of where I was earlier, and over there behind those rocks you can park your camping setup. The logging road is right where that vehicle just went. You're at a slight incline off the road, and you do have enough parking for multiple vehicles in this one campsite. This is a nice campsite. I think this is National Forest Road 11, which takes you to the Baker River trailhead, but it's a nice campsite. I saw people canoeing around. There's probably a boat launch here. Let's go down there and check it out.
Well, it looks like you have a little recreation site right down from the free dispersed camping area. The gate is closed right now, but if you had a kayak or a canoe, or you wanted to go down here to fish, it's a beautiful spot. I talked to the guys in that white truck, they're camping at the Thousand Trails Grandy Creek KOA, which is where Thousand Trails meets the KOA. They're driving down to the Baker River, and it's a beautiful view. Look at the snow on the tops of the mountains up there. And our neighbors at Thousand Trails Grandy Creek are gone, and you can see a little bit more of the space that's available at this free dispersed camping site. So this is a free dispersed camping site at 100% in the Baker Saquami National Forest, right on Baker Lake. It's really cool. I'll have the GPS coordinates for this free campsite in the written description of the YouTube video. There's no cell service at this particular location. I think I'll end here. If you like these videos, please like and subscribe, and I'll see you on the road.
