In my home state of West Virginia, you'll find a unique free camping paradise, unmatched by any other state on the East Coast of the United States. The free camping areas I'm going to show you in this video are accessible by RV. Each campsite offers a beautiful view and a natural camping experience that you'll only find in Wild Wonderful West Virginia. I'm now going to take you out into the field to show you these free campsites, all located in West Virginia. Then, I'll provide you with a general map and additional information about each campsite. We're at the Lower Gandy Dispersed Camping Area in the Monongahela National Forest. There are several campers here; camping is free for 14 days. This is a lesser-known free camping area in West Virginia. The Lady Fork of the Cheat River and Shavers Mountain are beautiful here. We have campsites along the river. We ventured to more campsites. There are other spectacular spots here. Next, we have the Little River Dispersed Camping Area in the Monongahela National Forest. This is a free 14-day camping spot in the national forest. It's beautiful with snow in May. There are campgrounds all along the road for a variety of camping. You can see vacation campsites, fire pits, rivers, and trails. In these camping areas, there is no cell service, so it's a good place to disconnect and enjoy nature without distractions. The roads to these camping areas can be narrow, so it's recommended to have a campsite less than 30 feet long.
