🏛️ Municipal Regulations — RV Parking in Mont-Royal
Verified on 16/08/2026
Bylaw no. 1384 on traffic and parking caps street parking in Mont-Royal at 4 consecutive hours on the same street segment, day or night. To park overnight (midnight to 8am) beyond 4 hours, a free temporary overnight parking permit is required, intended for residents hosting visitors (maximum 9 nights/month per vehicle); in certain downtown zones, overnight parking is allowed without a permit. In practice, a passing-through recreational vehicle with no connection to a resident cannot legally park there for more than 4 hours. Québec offers a wide range of RV rules -- checking before departure avoids a lot of detours. (Source: Ville de Mont-Royal, bylaw no. 1384)
