🏛️ Municipal Regulations — RV Parking in Rivière-du-Loup
Verified on 16/08/2026
From November 15 to April 15, overnight street parking in Rivière-du-Loup is banned from 11pm to 7am townwide, unless the city grants one-time authorization (to be checked daily on the website, by phone, or by email). The city tightened the rule in December 2024: previously, overnight winter parking was allowed by default unless a snow notice was issued; it is now banned by default unless authorized. No rule specific to wild camping or recreational vehicles on public land was identified -- only press articles about RVs spending the night in a Walmart lot (private land, outside direct municipal regulation). A ticket-free RV stay always starts with the same step: reading the regulations of the town you're visiting. (Source: Ville de Rivière-du-Loup, bylaw no. 2098)
