🏛️ Municipal Regulations — RV Parking in Sainte-Marie
Verified on 16/08/2026
Overnight parking is banned townwide in Sainte-Marie between midnight and 6am, from November 1 to April 1 ($50 fine). In residential zones, it is also banned to park or leave on a public road a motorized vehicle, trailer, tent-trailer, or mobile home, except for a delivery or work that justifies the stop ($50 fine). The city also runs an official paid RV halte ($25/night, 3-night maximum, 11pm-6am curfew), an option the city appears to favor over street parking. Québec municipalities keep refining their rules in response to the rise of RV tourism. (Source: Ville de Sainte-Marie, bylaw 1837-2022)
