Parking a recreational vehicle, trailer, or camper on the public road between 10pm and 8am for the purpose of sleeping there is banned ($100 fine), and RV parking outside a campground is capped at 36 consecutive hours regardless, only in front of the owner's home.

For central camping in Canmore, Wapiti Campground is located at 100 Ray McBride Street, in the foothills of the Canadian Rockies. It offers a view of the Three Sisters and is just minutes away from Banff National Park.
The campground is northwest of Canmore, near Bow Valley Trail, the Travel Alberta Information Centre, and the Trans-Canada Highway. It is an hour west of Calgary and a 20-minute drive east of Banff National Park.
