Gas City Campground is a modern, clean, and tree-lined municipal campground managed by the Parks and Recreation Department of Medicine Hat, Alberta. Located near the Trans-Canada Highway (Route 1), it offers views of the South Saskatchewan River coulees. For the 2026 season, the operating period has been extended by six weeks.

The campground has approximately 97 to 98 well-maintained sites, including full-service sites (electricity, running water, and sewer), sites with electricity (30 or 50 amps) and running water, sites with electricity only, as well as rustic tent sites. Two wooden comfort cabins are also available for glamping. Spacious pull-through sites are set up for large RVs, and a non-serviced section is accessible without reservation.

Amenities include modern restrooms, free hot showers, a coin-operated laundry, an RV dump station, and high-speed Wi-Fi access. The general store offers ice, snacks, and firewood for $10 per bundle. Recreational spaces are also available, such as a children's playground, a sheltered group kitchen, horseshoe pits, and a basketball hoop.
