Description
Camping at Rainbow Falls Provincial Park, on the north shore of Lake Superior near Terrace Bay and Rossport, in Northwestern Ontario. The park, named after its spectacular waterfall, offers 133 sites divided between the Whitesand Lake campground and the Rossport campground (on the shores of Lake Superior), including 72 with electricity, 17 pull-through sites for RVs, and 33 seasonal sites. On-site: 2 washroom blocks with showers, 2 RV dump and fill stations, 2 laundries, and picnic shelters. Activities: viewing the Rainbow Falls, hiking (including a 52 km section of the Casque Isles Trail), water sports on Whitesand Lake and Lake Superior, canoeing, biking, fishing, swimming, and a dog beach. Season from mid-May to mid-October (the Whitesand Lake area closes in mid-September); reservations recommended. Reservations via ontarioparks.com.
