Located in the heart of the wilderness in Calaveras County, near Camp Connell and Arnold, Horse Gulch Campground is managed by the US Forest Service. This rustic and secluded site is accessible via Forest Route 7N09, with a trail of approximately 11.7 km to reach it. No amenities are available, so it is essential to follow Leave No Trace principles: pack out all your trash, bring your own drinking water, and adhere to fire restrictions during the summer.
