Description
Camping of the U.S. Forest Service, located along the Kern River, designated as "Wild and Scenic," about 6 km upstream from Kernville. The site is shaded by oaks and poplars and offers around forty sites, several of which are reserved for tents. There are pit toilets and drinking water available. Popular activities include hiking, fishing, and rafting, but swimming is not recommended due to strong currents. Respect nature and remember to pack out your trash.
