Description
Large BLM campground (about 125 RV sites, plus dispersed camping areas) on the calm waters of the Colorado River upstream from the Imperial Dam, Imperial County, near Winterhaven. Usually offers paved boat launch, drinking water, four restroom blocks with flush toilets and showers (separate fees). However, it has been closed multiple times since 2024 for repaving (last known closure: fall 2025) -- recent reports suggest it may still be limited to day use only, to be confirmed before visiting. 14-day limit within 28 days when overnight camping is open. $10 US day / $15 US night / $75 US annual permit.
