Description
Largest area of Picacho State Recreation Area, with about fifty family sites (table, fire pit, drinking water, chemical toilets, solar shower), maximum 8 people per site. Only access: Picacho Road, a dirt road about 18 miles from Winterhaven, passable for most RVs but not recommended after heavy rains (risk of flash floods in the washes). No reservations: first come, first served. $20 US (1 vehicle) / $30 US (2 vehicles) per night; $2 discount for those 62 and older.
