Developed camping area distinct from the yellow post system, directly on the paved Route 74 -- thus accessible to large vehicles, unlike the Yellow Post sites higher up in the mountains. 18 sites, first come first served, no reservations. Sources contradict each other regarding water and toilets: the official US Forest Service sheet indicates that neither is available, but several campers report pit toilets on site -- plan to bring your own water just in case. Fire rings and picnic tables at each site, at about 1200 m elevation. $8 US/night (+ $5 US for each additional vehicle).
