Equestrian camping, distinct from the Yellow Post system, located about 26 km southeast of Palm Desert via Highway 74 and a short gravel road. 8 pull-through sites that can accommodate large vehicles and trailers -- reservations required (minimum 3 days in advance via recreation.gov), no first-come, first-served here. Each site includes a table, fire ring, two horse enclosures, and potable water; flush toilets and hot showers on-site -- the best-equipped location in the area. $15 USD/night.
