Description

Large dispersed camping area of BLM in the off-road zone of Jawbone Canyon, about 30 km north of Mojave (Kern County). Free primitive camping is allowed almost everywhere, with sites accessible even by 2-wheel drive along the canyon. No amenities or drinking water; OHV sticker required for off-road vehicles.
