Description
The official Fox Squirrel Campground is located within Walnut Point State Park, near Oakland, Illinois. This site offers Class A sites, primarily suited for RVs (up to 40 feet), but tents are also welcome. Each site has an individual electrical hookup. There is no direct water and sewer connection on each lot, but a dump station and drinking water points are available at the entrance and at several key locations in the campground. Each space includes a picnic table, a grill, and a fire ring, and some have a wooden platform. Flush toilets and a modern shower building are accessible. The sites in the Fox Squirrel area are located in the woods, with no direct access to or view of the lake. Please respect the area and nature, leave no trace, and be discreet.
