Melody and I are taking you to the Santee Coastal Preserve in South Carolina, where camping is free. We share the best camping spots in the United States. We arrived at the Santee Coastal Preserve and discovered a free campground. Despite a controlled fire in progress, the place is beautiful. We explored the campground and found signs indicating the rules, such as a maximum stay of four days, no leaving a fire unattended, wearing a hat, jacket, or vest during hunting season, etc. The campsites are numbered and available on a first-come, first-served basis. We met a camper named Dave, who confirmed that the gates are locked at night, but access to the river and trails is still possible. We also discovered that there are no restrooms on-site, so you have to be self-sufficient. While exploring the area, we discovered that there is a second access point from the road, making it easier to reach the campground. We also met Dave, a friendly camper with an awesome RV. We spent some time with him and his dog before wrapping up the tour. Be sure to check out our Facebook page for Verizon, AT&T, and T-Mobile network upload and download speeds, as well as the GPS coordinates for this free campsite in South Carolina.
