Parking a vehicle or trailer on a street for the purpose of spending the night or camping is banned at all times ($65 fine), and camping is also banned on municipal public grounds ($30 fine). A special governance case: Jasper is a « specialized municipality » with its own elected council, but Parks Canada keeps authority over land-use planning, since the entire town sits inside Jasper National Park.

Réservez votre excursion en bus sur le champ de glace et la passerelle Glacier Skywalk (114$), visionnez un film, achetez des souvenirs, mangez une poutine (9$), buvez une canette (3,50$). Attention aux petits budgets — les prix s'accumulent vite. Pour les cyclistes et voyageurs non motorisés : aucune épicerie sur place. Possible d'acheter friandises, tablettes de chocolat (3$) et sandwichs (14$) à emporter, mais rien pour cuisiner (pâtes, fromage, gruau, etc.). Gratuit : remplissage de bouteille d'eau dans le hall principal, comptoir d'information de Parcs Canada, une galerie au sous-sol, et le Wi-Fi.
