Description
Le Newton Creek Campground est un terrain de camping forestier géré par le US Forest Service dans la Shoshone National Forest, au Wyoming. Situé à 1 920 mètres d'altitude le long de la rivière Shoshone, il se trouve sur la route North Fork Highway (US 14/16/20), à 37 milles à l'ouest de Cody et à seulement 16 milles de l'entrée est du parc national de Yellowstone.
Ce camping est une base populaire pour explorer la région, mais il y a une règle de sécurité importante : seuls les véhicules à parois rigides sont autorisés. Les tentes et les caravanes pliantes en toile (pop-up) sont strictement interdites en raison de la présence fréquente de grizzlis.
