Description
Camping at the Bureau of Land Management (McCain Valley, El Centro Field Office), directly adjacent to the Lark Canyon off-road ATV/motorcycle area and its network of approximately 48 km of trails for vehicles less than 40 inches wide. 15 first-come, first-served sites, with fire rings, tables, and six pit toilets; water on site is not guaranteed to be potable (the BLM has previously reported the system out of service) -- plan to bring your own supply. Stay limited to 14 days within a 28-day period; open year-round. The area is significantly busier with ATV/quad enthusiasts than with passing campers. $6 US/night per site.
