Free camping Gifford Pinchot National Forest

Summary of video transcription from: LivingOurDreamNow
On US Highway 12 heading east in Washington State, I come to a free campground, the free dispersed campsite in the Gifford Pinchot National Forest. Then I take Highway 131 south. Now I’m entering the Gifford Pinchot National Forest, Highway 131 turns into National Forest Road 25. Soon I’ll turn left onto National Forest Road 2305. After finding a large free dispersed campsite, I find another site for large RVs – a free dispersed campsite accessible via Forest Road 2305. I share the GPS coordinates for this site in the written description of my YouTube video, as well as download speeds for Verizon, AT&T, and T-Mobile. Free Wild Camping in Gifford Pinchot National Forest along NF RD 2305

[Music] on US Highway 12 heading east in Washington State, I'm heading to a free campground, a free dispersed campground in the Gifford Pinchot National Forest. I'm going to turn off now on Washington Highway 131 heading south, here in a little while I'm on Highway 131 [Music]. Now I'm entering Gifford Pinchot National Forest, Highway 131 turns into National Forest Road 25 on the National Forest for 25 now and a few miles ahead of me I'm going to turn left onto National Forest Road 2305, National Forest Road 23.05 turn left then your destination will be on the right your destination is on the right this is not our destination but it was a nearby reference point get out and check this out I believe this is the trailhead check this out so you have a reference point and we're going to head back up the National Forest Road that I just turned onto and the campground that I'm looking for this free dispersed camping that should be back so I believe this is the trailhead we have an access pass so this replaces the Northwest Forest Pass we're going to come back and look at the trailhead here in a minute but I want to show you this sign here and I was aware of it it says open from 6am to 10pm no camping where I am now but just in up the road there is supposed to be dispersed camping and in particular a large campsite that should hopefully accommodate a large vehicle I think I found a review online for the particular campsite that I'm looking for and you know a lot of reviews are dodgy sometimes people give one or two photographs but don't really give an idea of what the campsite looks like of course I do videos and I think I do a pretty thorough job in my videos of showing you what to expect if you decide to camp in the area that I'm taking you to there are pit toilets here at this trailhead there are a couple of picnic pavilions there is a parking lot but it's a day use area okay I'm gonna get back in the truck we're gonna head up the forest road good that I just left and we're gonna see if I can find this great free dispersed campsite [Music] okay well I found a pretty big free dispersed campsite and it's not far from the picnic area and the Woods Creek Wildlife Trailhead which is where I took you this regarding national forest road 25. [Music] you see the sign there randall six miles on my right and on my left windy ridge that's where mount st helens is is 30 miles and this they don't have the one that says 2305 but i don't think that was the name of the forest road so i have the name of the forest road written down and i'm going to refer to it oh i think i said this once in this video but right where my truck is parked is a dispersed campsite right at the intersection of these two forest roads and it's right adjacent to this picnic area there's a fire ring here you can get pretty much any size vehicle in there so [Music] this is not.- our friendly destination for the big dispersed campsites that i was looking for we're going to be going up the road here in a minute but i want to put a pin in this one because this could be a very useful campsite for someone [Music] right at the intersection of these two forest roads so here is another view of this dispersed campsite that is adjacent to the picnic area i will drop a pin here and i will have the grid coordinates for this free campsite in the written description of the video on youtube so i just looked at my notes it is forest road 2305 so this sign was correct free campsite off forest road 2305 and because someone is in the travel trailer i don't want to stay longer so i will have the grid coordinates for this free campsite in the written description of the video on youtube i will also have the download speeds for verizon at&t and t-mobile in the written description of the video as well if you like these videos like and subscribe and i will see you down the road
