Description
This campground is managed by the County of San Diego (County of San Diego Parks and Recreation), and not by the Cleveland National Forest or the BLM -- it is located in a low-altitude desert area, about 410 m, near Anza-Borrego, away from the wooded area of Mount Laguna. 140 sites, several with full or partial electrical hookups, drinking water, flush toilets, showers, and a dump station. Seasonal hours are reversed compared to mountain campgrounds -- open from the Friday of Labor Day (early September) until Memorial Day (late May), closed during the summer. Main attraction: its geothermal hot water pools.
