Check the municipal regulations on overnight RV parking and wild camping for every town in Québec — useful for planning a stop during your trip.

- Sainte-Anne-des-Monts Camping on a public road/place is EXPLICITLY banned, except a designated backup halte. The definition includes simply sleeping in a vehicle.
- Sainte-Anne-des-Plaines Using a vehicle as a dwelling in a public place is EXPLICITLY banned. RVs/trailers are banned AT ALL TIMES in public places.
- Sainte-Catherine Overnight parking is banned December 1 to April 1 (midnight-7am). A motorized trailer is banned AT ALL TIMES on public roads/places.
- Sainte-Catherine-de-la-Jacques-Cartier Parking is banned November 1 to April 15 (11pm-7am). No RV-specific rule found (full bylaw read in its entirety).
- Sainte-Foy Sainte-Foy has been part of the City of Québec since the 2002 merger and no longer has its own council or bylaws. The rules that apply are those of the City of Québec.
- Sainte-Julie RVs/trailers are allowed on residential streets for 18h max (Apr 15-Nov 1); banned on the street the rest of the year (must stay on private property).
- Sainte-Marguerite-du-Lac-Masson Trailers/RVs are banned AT ALL TIMES on the street/municipal lots, WITH NO EXCEPTIONS. Living/sleeping in one is also banned.
- Sainte-Marie Overnight parking is banned November 1 to April 1 (midnight-6am). An official paid RV halte ($25/night, 3-night max, 11pm-6am curfew).
- Sainte-Marthe-sur-le-Lac Parking is banned November 15 to April 15 (midnight-7am). No RV-specific street rule found.
- Sainte-Thérèse Overnight parking is banned December 1 to March 15, except a daily-posted exception. No RV-specific rule found.
- Salaberry-de-Valleyfield Overnight parking is banned November 30 to April 1 (10pm-6am, midnight-6am downtown). No RV-specific street rule found.
- Sept-Îles Overnight parking is banned November 1 to April 15 (midnight-6am). A free summer program: 4 dedicated RV lots, 48h max, RVs ≤21ft.
- Shawinigan Overnight parking is banned November 15 to April 30 (midnight-7am), except daily lifts. RVs are capped at 12h/day on the street in front of their own address; sleeping in them is banned.
- Shediac Parking any motorhome, trailer, or semi-trailer on the street is banned at all times, year-round, anywhere on the municipal road network. A separate ban also covers winter overnight parking (Nov 1-Apr 1, midnight-7am).
- Sherbrooke Overnight parking is banned November 15 to March 31 (midnight-7am), with possible daily lifts. The rule is confirmed UNIFORM across all 6 boroughs -- no variation found.
- Sillery Sillery has been part of the City of Québec since the 2002 merger and no longer has its own council or bylaws. The rules that apply are those of the City of Québec.
- Sorel-Tracy Overnight parking is tolerated November 15 to April 15 (1am-7am), except during snow removal. Since April 2025, RVs are banned AT ALL TIMES on residential streets.
- Squamish Parking a vehicle or trailer on a road or public place between 10pm and 6am for the purpose of sleeping there is banned; from May 15 to September 30, occupying a vehicle so parked is even capped at 1 hour between 10pm and 7am. A separate camping bylaw also covers parks and Crown land.
- St. Andrews Overnight street parking is banned November 15 to March 31, from 2am to 7am -- a seasonal restriction rather than a permanent one. No RV-specific mention was found.
- St. John's Camping is banned in all municipal parks (closed at 11pm) without permission. A winter curfew (roughly January-April) bans street parking for all vehicles, but no RV-specific rule was found for the rest of the year.
- Stanstead Overnight parking is allowed ONLY in 3 designated municipal lots in the Rock Island sector (11pm-8am, Nov 1-Apr 1, odd/even alternation, 48h max). No general street rule nor RV mention found.
- Sutton Parking is banned November 15 to March 31 (11pm-7am), except Dec 23-Jan 3. No RV-specific rule found.
- Témiscaming Parking is banned November 1 to April 15 (midnight-8am). Travel trailers are limited to campgrounds; on private property, max 4 days/year elsewhere.
- Témiscouata-sur-le-Lac Parking is banned November 1 to April 1 (11pm-7am). Trailers/RVs are EXPLICITLY banned in the parking sector near Parc Clair Soleil.
- Terrebonne Parking is banned November 15 to April 15 (midnight-7am), 24h max. Trailers/RVs/motorhomes are banned AT ALL TIMES in public places.
- Thetford Mines Parking is banned November 15 to April 15 (midnight-7am), with possible daily lifts. No RV/camping ban -- the city instead offers official designated RV haltes.
- Thurso Overnight parking is banned November 15 to April 15 (midnight-6am), except Dec 24-26 and Dec 31-Jan 2. No RV-specific rule found.
- Trois-Pistoles Parking is banned November 15 to April 15 (11pm-7am). No RV-specific rule found.
- Trois-Rivières Parking is banned November 15 to April 15 (1am-7am), except zones without snow removal (daily A/B/C system). The rule is confirmed UNIFORM across the whole merged city.
- Twillingate The zoning bylaw bans living in an RV except on private land (registered, max 6 months/year, no permit needed if 14 days or less) or at a licensed campground. No traffic/parking bylaw of its own was found.
